We Are Ready To Fight For You
Laundress and Fabuloso Bacterial Infections
In December 2022, The Laundress issued a recall for an estimated eight million cleaning products after it was found they were contaminated with bacteria. In February 2023, Colgate-Palmolive issued a recall for nearly five million of its Fabuloso products due to contamination with the same bacteria. If you or someone you love was sickened after using these products, you may be entitled to compensation for the harm you have suffered. The Reason For the Recalls
The products were recalled after it was discovered they were contaminated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. While this bacteria is not normally harmful to humans, it can cause severe illness in people with respiratory problems, people who have compromised immune systems (such as people with diabetes, cancer, or HIV), as well as anyone exposed to the bacteria through their eyes or a break in the skin (such as from a cut or burn).
Symptoms of Bacterial Infection
The symptoms of a Pseudomonas infection can vary wildly, depending on how you were exposed to the bacteria. Some of the most common symptoms include:
• Fever
• Severe rash, including pus-filled pimples
• Pain, redness, or swelling in the eyes
• Painful or swollen joints
• Discolored pus or discharge from infected wounds
• Back or neck pain
• Severe coughing or congestion
• Headaches
• Diarrhea or upset stomach
• Urinary tract infections
Symptoms of the infection can potentially last for weeks. In some cases, the disease can even be fatal.
What You Should Do if You Have a Recalled Product
If you have a recalled product from Fabuloso or The Laundress, you should immediately stop using it and seal it to prevent accidental exposure. You should also see a doctor as soon as possible if you have any of the above symptoms, and test for a potential Pseudomonas infection.
