Philadelphia E-Bike Accidents Up 40% in 2025
According to information from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the number of e-bike and e-scooter accidents went up about 40% between 2024 and 2025 in Philadelphia. This resulted in there being slightly more e-bike accidents in 2025 than there were accidents involving traditional bicycles. While this is partly a sign of the increased popularity of these vehicles, it is also a potentially worrying sign of careless driving habits that may put people’s lives at risk.
